Places to Visit

The Burren, one of the worlds most stunningly unique natural heritage regions of the world.

Adare Village is known as the prettiest village in Ireland. Two groups of, world famous, ornate, thatched cottages line part of the villages broad main street, punctuated with beautiful stone buildings, medieval monasteries and ruins. It is only 20 minutes from Limerick City. A nice place for afternoon tea.

Limerick, Shannon and Co. Clare have some of Irelands top attractions. Click Here and take some time to discover all the area has to offer our visitors from castle banquets and traditional Irish nights to Bunratty folk park and the Cliffs of Moher. So get your thinking hat on and start to compile your own must see list.

Aillwee Cave. This cave was formed by the glacial melt waters of an early ice age. The erosive power of the waters carved out a subterranean river deep underneath Aillwee mountain. This river has subsided since the last ice age, leaving behind one of Irelands most stunning caves for you to explore.

The Cliffs Of Moher. If you have a head for heights from the cliffs you can see Galway Bay, the Maum Turk Mountains and the Twelve Pins. One of Irelands top Visitor attractions. 214m at their highest point and over 8 kms long, its next stop New York.

Flying Boat Museum. The museum has a comprehensive range of exhibits with great illustrations. It includes a 1940s style cinema, the original terminal building from the 1930s, the radio and the weather room from the war years. It was here in 1943 that Irish coffee was "invented.“ There is a coffee shop and a souvenir shop on the premises. Its well worth a visit during your time in Limerick and allow about an hour.
